
Research and Development is eternal to a company’s sustainable growth. Crystal has dedicated the last 34 years in extensive research and its R&D is growing at a rapid speed, enabling the company in keeping pace with the latest markets and its needs.
The R&D division is headed by Dr J.S.Shankar who has 11 years of experience in research through institutions like Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) and Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR) and also around 10 years of experience in agriextension activities in the pesticide industry. He is also well versed with the latest agricultural practices and problems of India.
Crystal lab is equipped with sophisticated instruments like Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) gas liquid chromatography (GLC), Particle Size Analyzer and Viscometer.
The company has created applied and adaptive research facilities involving field crops and provides an interactive helpline led by a team of qualified and experienced scientists. They educate the farmers and give complete solutions to their various problems.
Crystal Group’ mission to evolve customer driven agricultural solutions has also led to the introduction of a number of new generic molecules.
The R & D unit of Crystal Group was established in 1991 to conduct in-house field research and process development. The R&D Division is replete with the latest equipments and has experienced scientists who effectively and continuously implement the latest scientific methods and techniques.
The Research and Development wing interacts closely with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR). It is also associated with various institutes like Indian Agricultural Research Institutes (IARI), Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI), Central Rice Research Institute (CRRI), Directorate of Rice Research (DRR) that are affiliated to ICAR . The division also collaborates with State Agriculture Universities, State Agricultural Departments and other Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Krishi Gyan Kendras in all the states for the generation of scientific data, evaluation of new molecules and for activities like organizing symposiums, seminars and scientific workshops.
The major thrust of the company is towards development of new molecules that are safer to man and environment, non toxic to beneficial insects and suitable for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and Integrated Crop Management (ICM).
