Crystal Crop Protection Limited in collaboration with Sewa International proudly inaugurated the Women Led Wool Craft and Artisanship Project as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) endeavors.
The Women Led Wool Craft and Artisanship Project aims to revive the traditional hand-woven wool craft techniques of indigenous Bhotiya Tribes and ensure sustainable craftsmanship practices in 25 villages near to Indo -Tibet Border in Tapovan Tehsil of Joshimath Block in Uttarakhand.
The project will also ensure market linkage of the hand-woven wool craft products of the beneficiaries.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri. Mohan Prasad Joshi BDO, Joshimath, PRI Leaders including Pradan, Raini, and nearby 10 villages, Shri. Subhodip Mukherjee, CSR Head Crystal Crop.
The Project supported by Crystal Crop Protection Ltd. includes establishing a Wool Craft Production Centre equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, a raw material bank, and, advanced design training to identify women beneficiaries.
The centre is located in one of the border and remote villages known for resilient women who once stood up against Environmental Degradation and led Chipko Movement, setting an example across the nation.
More than 250 individuals attended the inauguration event.
Crystal has a moral responsibility to contribute its shared value toward the upliftment of society to make it a better place to live and has adopted CSR as a strategic tool for sustainable growth.
